QANTAS and China Southern Airlines have entered into a commercial agreement which will see the two carriers code-share on each others’ services between China and Australia.
QANTAS will add its code on China Southern’s services from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth to Guangzhou with onward connections to the Chinese cities of Urumqi, Xiamen, Fuzhou and Kunming.
China Southern will add its code on QF’s domestic services to Cairns, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Canberra and also on trans-Tasman flights to Auckland.
China Southern is a member of the SkyTeam Alliance whilst QANTAS is a member of the oneworld Alliance.
The deal is set to commence from early 2014 including the selling of these new services.
