Malaysia Airlines will temporarily operate its A380s to Sydney from 30 May to 08 June 2015. The flights be will offered as a two class product with the eight seat First Class cabin marketed and sold with Business Class service.
The A380s will replace the normally scheduled A330 service on flights MH123 Kuala Lumpur to Sydney and MH122 Sydney to Kuala Lumpur.
The Malaysian carrier, which is under administration by the Malaysian government in order to restructure, has announced it intends to sell or lease its fleet of six A380s which operate to Paris CDG and London Heathrow. In the past Malaysia Airlines had intended to permanently use A380s to Sydney and Melbourne even with flights loaded in the GDS. These plans were subsequently abandoned.
