Air NZ and Singapore Airlines set to form new alliance

Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines will “re-kindle” their partnership and start a new alliance. The two carriers are set to collaborate once again on the New Zealand – Singapore route. Air New Zealand is set to resume its own services AKL-SIN with 777-200ERs and SQ will increase capacity by introducing A380s replacing the current 77W. Air NZ last operated in its own right to SIN in 2006. The two airlines, subject to regulatory approvals will once again code-share on the AKL-SIN and and CHC-SIN service. The new services are expected to take effect from December 2014.
