Jetstar has introduced a new catering model for its flights. All passengers travelling on Jetstar (JQ) Long Haul International, Short Haul International and Jetstar Asia (3K) flights will now be required need to pre-purchase their hot meals on flights where this offered. In an industry update, Jetstar states “This product enhancement provides customers with a customised experience and provides more comfort around receiving their desired meal choice onboard.” The “buy on board” for hot meals will no longer be offered, however the cart service for the purchase of drinks and snacks will remain.

Jetstar has also introducted an onboard Duty Free service called “Jetshop”. This will is available on all selected Jetstar (JQ) international long haul and short haul services. The duty free items including jewelry watches and cosmetics will be available for purchase by credit card only.
