QANTAS will introduce a “Q surcharge” on all passengers on its daily Sydney – Dallas/Ft Worth QF7 service effective for all tickets issued from 11 April 2014.
In a press release to travel agents the carrier states the surcharge is warranted due to “high demand” on the route. The following charges, reflected as a “Q surcharge” on all tickets will be determined by class of travel:
Economy Class – AUD 50.00
Premium Economy – AUD 100.00
Business Class – AUD 200.00
The charge is directional and will not apply on the Dallas/Ft Worth – Brisbane sector. Passengers holding existing ticketed bookings will not be affected by these charges.
