Virgin Australia will add Tamworth to its Australian domestic network from 25 May 2015. The carrier will fly from Sydney to Tamworth six times weekly with ATR-72 aircraft.

The Sydney – Tamworth market is presently served exclusively by QANTAS Link services. Virgin Australia’s entry into this market will effectively end a monopoloy on this route.
