SriLankan and fellow oneworld partner QANTAS have announced a code-sharing agreement which will take effect from 26 October 2014. QANTAS will place its code on SriLankan operated flights from Singapore Changi to Colombo. In turn, SriLankan will place its code on QANTAS operated services from Singapore to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. SriLankan operates daily two class A320 services from Colombo to Singapore.
The existing code-share QANTAS has with alliance partner Emirates between Singapore and Colombo continuing on to Dubai will complement this new agreement. There will now be a choice of evening and morning departures.
